1st woman in organized baseball - Business Manager-Chicago White Sox farm team Savannah, GA
Taught 1st grade at St. Lawrence in Indianapolis…where she met my dad.
Married with 4 kids
Stay at home painter.
Primarily self taught.
She works in oils, acrylic and watercolor.
She’s been a judge for many competitions including Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
She’s taught thousands that “anyone can paint”. That number is growing here daily.
She volunteers at Mother’s Cupboard.
She still has monthly lunches with friends from her own 1st grade class.
She painted one of the 25 Garfield’s commemorating Garfield’s 25th birthday for Anderson University for Special Olympics working with Carl Erskine and Jim Davis. It was sold to someone in Brooklyn, NY. Part of Garfield was worked on here in Brown County, where mom and dad spent weekends in the summer before moving here full time.
She painted 2 of the 33 full size Indy cars celebrating 100 years of the Speedway.
She’s VP of AABC Artist Associates Brown County.
She’s also VP of Gateway Association, Anderson, IN
She was little league softball coach to me and my sister….and, yes, our little red Louisville Slugger had flowers painted all over it.
She’s the best mom ever.
When in the world?
1st lessons in 1960 with Adelee Wendel-Indianapolis Eastside Art Center.
This was her first painting from January 1960.
She’s been painting over 60 years. She’s painted thousand of works.
Where in the world?
She’s exhibited at The Hoosier Salon, Indiana State Fair and numerous other competitions.
She taught at the Anderson Fine Art Center, Anderson Juvenile Detention Center, VSA Arts, and J Everett Light Career Center…just to name a few.
She’s painted 25+ murals around Indiana. Her most beautiful one is right here in the shop.
One mural was a backdrop for the L.S. Ayres train at the Indiana State Museum for a few years.
Her paintings have found homes all over the world

She volunteers 100% of her time here because she says she loves it.
